Sea & Boat Trips in Hurghada

2 activities found

Hurghada's coral reefs and offshore islands are at their most rewarding from the water. These boat trips range from full days out to the islands to shorter outings, most with time to swim or snorkel.

Sea & Boat Trips

Choosing a boat trip

The main differences between trips are where the boat goes and how long you spend in the water. Island trips usually stop at one or two reef sites for snorkeling and then moor off a beach such as Orange Bay; dolphin trips go further out to reefs where dolphins are often seen. Each tour page lists its stops, what's included and how long the day is.

What to bring

  • Swimwear, a towel, a hat and sunscreen: the sun on the water is strong even when there's a breeze.
  • Seasickness tablets if you need them. The sea is often calmer in the morning, and the wind tends to pick up in the afternoon.
  • Some cash for tips and extras that aren't listed under "What's included".

Protected islands and reefs

Many of the islands off Hurghada, including Giftun, are part of a protected area. Boats use fixed moorings, and a park entry fee may apply: the "Not included" list on each tour says whether you pay it separately.
